Our 10 Favourite Hair Style Predications for 2020

As we’re now in the last quarter of 2019, we take a look at our favourite hair styles set to make a big impact in the new decade.

Trend no.1 – The hair pearl

Think simple iridescent pearls arranged neatly in your locks for a dreamy insta-worthy hairstyle. Twist spin pins into a bun for instant chic or secure a half-up half-down pony with a clip adorned with pearls for a super pretty style.

Trend No.2 – The introduction of ‘bronde’

This warm, glossy hair colour is set to make a big impression for 2020. A middle ground between blond and brunette, as the name suggests, bronde is ideal for those who want a pop of colour while maintaining a healthy shine to their hair.

Trend no.3 – The twisted half-up half-down bun

Because who doesn’t love a bun or a half-up half-down style? Now you can combine both with an on-trend top knot with a difference. When you part your hair to create the bun, twist the section on top of your crown and secure in place for a modern take on what has become a classic.

Trend no.4 – The statement head piece

Move aside subtle clips of 2019, there’s a new hair piece in town and it’s here to make a statement. Afffair models recently showcased jewel encrusted flowers and strings of crystals in their hair and we loved the elegance and glamour of the look so much we’re sure to see it in the new decade – it will be the roaring 20’s, after all!

Trend No.5 – The 50’s pony

Think sleek, bouncy ponytails like those modelled at Dennis Basso’s recent fashion show. To create this simple yet effective style, brush your hair into a mid-pony, secure with a band and curl the ends into soft waves.

Trend No.6 – The messy bun

It seems 2020 is the year for the bun! We spotted another fabulous bun courtesy of fashion house extraordinaire, Fendi, whose models could be seen rocking messy buns – and it seems the messier the better – at recent catwalks (great news for those of you who struggle with this style).

Trend No. 7 – The Beach Hair

This hairstyle is all about creating movement and texture in the mid lengths and ends. This means using the softer, more pliable products to create a glossy finish full of vibrancy.

Trend no.8 – The 80’s hair comb

This season’s catwalks were bursting with 80’s revival fashion so why would our hair styles miss out on the trend? Luckily, we don’t mean back-combing your hair until it resembles a cloud but lose hair subtly brushed out, parted to the side and pined back with a large comb. So simple, so stylish.

Trend No.9 – The French Bob

One of our favourite wash it and go hairstyles for 2020 is definitely the French bob. This short, jaw line bob looks beautiful when simply left to air dry, creating interest and texture for a super chic look.

Trend No. 10 – The long layers

For those who love a beach, this is the hairstyle for you. The long layers frame the face perfectly and when cut with a solid base line, ensures your locks stay full for a low effort wow factor.
