5 Cute Christmas Hair Styles

With the Christmas party season just around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about your festive look for the annual office celebration! We’ve collected five of our favourite festive hairstyles for you to try out and be the belle of the ball.

Glitz up your hairstyle

One of the easiest ways to glam up your look at the Christmas party is to slide a glittery statement clip (or two) into your locks. Try wearing your hair down and slide the clip near your parting, followed by another slightly lower down. Or if you want to go for an up do, arrange your hair in a relaxed, low bun and use it to keep your hair in place while adding some festive cheer.

The simple bow

Another simple trick you can try to make your style instantly more festive is to tie your hair up in a bow. Secure your locks with a thin hair band that matches the colour of your hair, then tie the bow around it. We particularly love velvet bows in either a messy high pony or a half-up half-down style.

The braided bun

The braided bun may look intricate, but it’s actually really simple to create. First, tie your hair up in a high ponytail and split it into three sections (you may need more depending on the thickness of your hair). Then, plait each section and swirl them around one on top of the other until you’re happy with your bun and secure with pins. Simple.

The twisted tie-back

We love the twisted tie-back for the party season as it’s so simple to create at home. Gather a small section of hair at your temple, then starting from the front of your head, twist along the strand and secure at the centre of the back of your head. Then repeat from the other side. Voila! You’ve got a beautiful half-up half-down hair style in next to no time! To make it even more festive, try adding a glittery clip where the two strands meet.

The Christmas plait

If you’re looking for simple elegance, a lose plait worn at the base of your neck is a fantastic look for all four seasons. To make it extra Christmassy for the festive party season, secure the end of the plait with a velvet bow that matches your outfit, a sparkly hair accessory or even some tinsel.
